ARLINGTON, Texas – The Packers built a 28-point lead and then held off a second-half charge by the Cowboys for a 34-24 victory at AT&T Stadium on Sunday.
RB Aaron Jones powered his way to four rushing touchdowns, tying a Green Bay franchise record, as the Packers went ahead 31-3 in the third quarter.
Dallas came back behind the passing of QB Dak Prescott, and the Cowboys had a chance to make it a one-score game on a field goal with just under two minutes left, but K Brett Maher missed, his second miss of the game. Prescott threw three interceptions, the last one setting up the Packers' final points in the fourth quarter to re-establish a three-score lead at 34-17.
With the win, the Packers improved to 4-1 and took over sole possession of first place in the NFC North following the Bears' loss in London to the Raiders. The Cowboys dropped to 3-2 and into a tie for first in the NFC East with the Eagles.
For the Packers, Jones finished with 19 carries for 107 yards with the four TDs. Jones added seven catches for 75 yards to lead the passing game as well. QB Aaron Rodgers was 22-of-34 for 238 yards and a passer rating of 85.2.
For the Cowboys, Prescott threw for 463 yards, with two TDs and the three INTs. He was 27-of-44 with an 83.8 rating. WR Amari Cooper had 11 catches for 226 yards, and WR Michael Gallup added seven grabs for 113 yards. Each had a TD catch. Green Bay held RB Ezekiel Elliott to 62 yards and a TD on 12 carries.
