The Green Bay Packers are inviting middle school students throughout Wisconsin to "Empower," a leadership event aimed at inspiring students to be positive leaders, on Jan. 16, 2025.
The free, day-long event will take place at the Resch Expo at 840 Armed Forces Drive in Ashwaubenon from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event will include a variety of leadership activities and programs aimed at encouraging sixth through eighth grade students to be their best selves and create positive changes in their communities.
The event also will include a presentation from a keynote speaker, along with lunch and free t-shirts for participants. The event is fully funded by the Packers; the only cost for schools to attend is transportation to and from the event. There is no cost for the students to attend. Students who are in sixth through eighth grades for the 2024-25 school year are eligible to participate.
Teachers and school district community leaders are invited to bring their middle school students to participate. To register, pleasevisit packers.formstack.com/forms/empowerwisconsin2025 by Nov. 22, as space is limited.
Upon registering, school leaders will receive a confirmation email with a link to provide attendee information (names, allergies, t-shirt sizes) by Friday, Dec. 6. Each middle school will be able to bring up to 14 students and two chaperones; schools are asked to include a second chaperone if more than seven students will be attending.
The event is part of Green Bay Packers Give Back, the team's all-encompassing community outreach initiative that includes the Green Bay Packers Foundation, appearances made by players, alumni, coaches and staff, football outreach, cash and in-kinddonations, Make-A-Wish visits, and community events. The annual overall charitable impact of Packers Give Back exceeds $11 million.
