GREEN BAY – The Packers' 2022 training camp kicks off Wednesday with the first of 12 practices open to the public.

The opening workout is slated for 10:30 a.m. at Ray Nitschke Field. The first three open practices this week on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday will begin at 10:30 a.m., the anticipated time for the rest of the daytime practices during camp.

The dozen open practices also include Family Night at Lambeau Field on Friday, Aug. 5, at 7:30 p.m., and two joint practices with the New Orleans Saints on Aug. 16-17 at Nitschke Field.

The practices with the Saints are the last two workouts open to the public and will precede the preseason game between Green Bay and New Orleans at Lambeau Field on Friday, Aug. 19.

That's the lone home preseason game for the Packers this summer. They will also play preseason games on the road at San Francisco on Friday, Aug. 12, and at Kansas City on Thursday, Aug. 25.

Throughout the month of August, the Packers will conduct several practices that will be closed to the public but open to the media. There also will be three mandatory roster reduction dates, with all NFL teams trimming their rosters from 90 to 85 players on Aug. 16, then to 80 players on Aug. 23, and finally to the regular-season limit of 53 players on Aug. 30.
