The Green Bay Packers and Kohl's Department Stores will recognize National Breast Cancer Awareness Month at the Oct. 28 Packers-Jacksonville Jaguars game, with Lambeau Field and Packers players prominently featuring the color pink in several ways.
Fans will receive pink Kohl's Cares rally towels when they enter the stadium. Inside, cheerleaders (pink pompoms) and TundraLine members (pink hats) will be sporting the color. Other pink elements fans will notice include pink ribbon stencils on the field, pink wall banners, pink goal post padding, special game balls with pink ribbon decals, a pink coin used for the coin toss and pink-trimmed sideline caps for coaches and team personnel. Players will be using and wearing pink equipment, including pink cleats, wristbands, gloves, sideline caps, helmet decals, sideline towels and quarterback towels. Game officials will be wearing pink caps and pins.
All apparel worn at games by players and coaches, along with special game balls and pink coins, will be auctioned off at NFL Auction (www.NFL.com/auction), with proceeds benefitting the American Cancer Society and team charities.
Kohl's sponsorship of the breast cancer awareness game is the most recent example of the company's commitment to the fight against breast cancer. Kohl's committed more than $7 million to the American Cancer Society, Midwest Division and the Southeast Wisconsin Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure to support breast cancer research, education and patient assistance programs.
The Kohl's Cares breast cancer cause merchandise program sells exclusive merchandise in all 40 Wisconsin Kohl's stores and online at Kohls.com/cares, with 100 percent of the net profit going to support the fight against breast cancer.
Sunday's game also features collegiate and alumnae members of the Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity for women distributing pink ribbons and breast cancer awareness information from 9 a.m. to noon in the Lambeau Field parking lots. The Packers are among 28 NFL teams to partner with ZTA as part of the league's celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this season.
In addition, Bellin Health will recognize 30 breast cancer survivors, inviting them to attend the game as honored guests and to be part of the on-field ambassador line, welcoming players to the field. As part of the Packers/Bellin Health Titletown Wellness Initiative, a limited number of pink wristbands will be distributed at the Bellin Health Gate to build awareness of the importance of screening mammography and early detection. Also during October, the Bellin Health Gate at Lambeau Field is lit with pink lighting.
Other gameday activities are planned, including Oneida Nation dancers dressed in pink who will perform a healing dance during the halftime show. Also during halftime, pink ribbons will be unfurled on the field.
The NFL has partnered with the American Cancer Society during October with a campaign called A Crucial Catch: Annual Screenings Save Lives, which encourages annual mammograms for women over 40. The national anthem will be sung by opera singer Lawrence Harris from New York. Harris is a former NFL player who was drafted by the Houston Oilers in 1976 and played seven years before retiring after an injury-ridden season. A flyover of Navy F-18 jets will follow.
Two alumni are scheduled to make appearances throughout the weekend at various locations. Boyd Dowler and Bobby Dillon will be taking part in fan activities at the Packers Pro Shop, Tundra Tailgate Zone and Legends Club leading up to kickoff. Both former Packers players will be introduced on Lambeau Field during pregame festivities.

The Lambeau Field Atrium and guest relations desk will open at 8 a.m. for ticketed guests only. The Lambeau Field parking lot and Tundra Tailgate zone will also open at 8 a.m. Gates will open at 10 a.m.
