PACKERS HOST LIONS IN REGULAR-SEASON FINALE

• Green Bay closes out the 2011 regular season with an NFC North tilt against the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field this Sunday.
• The Packers clinched home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs with a win over the Bears this past Sunday. It marks the first time Green Bay will be the top seed in the conference since 1996.
• The Packers set a franchise record for the most wins in the regular season with their 14th victory. That topped the 13-win totals posted by the team in 1962, 1996, 1997 and 2007. Green Bay will try to become just the sixth team in NFL history to finish 15-1 or better.
• Sunday will be the first time in the history of the series that both the Packers and Lions will enter the game with double-digit win totals.
• This will be the 11th time that the franchises have met in a regular-season finale and just the fourth time (1939, '45, '93) that both clubs have had winning records when they played in the final regular-season contest.
• This marks the third time that Green Bay has closed the season with a home contest vs. Detroit under Head Coach Mike McCarthy(also 2007 and 2008). It will be the first time the Packers have played on New Year's Day since the 2005 season when they hosted the Seattle Seahawks.
• No other NFL teams have played every year since 1932, when the Packers and the Lions, then known as the Portsmouth (Ohio) Spartans, began their yearly home-and-home series. 
• The rivalry actually kicked off in 1930 at City Stadium in Green Bay, a 47-13 Packers win. Some two seasons later, the teams began a yearly series. Sunday marks meeting No. 165 in the all-time series.
• Now rivals in the NFC North, the Packers own a 90-65-7 (.580) advantage over the Lions in the regular season and have won both playoff matchups.
• Green Bay has a 10-1 mark against the Lions under McCarthy. Overall, Green Bay has won 19 of the last 22 games in the series.
• The Packers have won 20 straight games against the Lions in the state of Wisconsin (including '94 playoff game). The streak started with Green Bay's win over the Lions at County Stadium in Milwaukee on Dec. 6, 1992.
• Green Bay's 19-game regular-season home winning streak against Detroit is the longest streak in the NFL, one game ahead of Washington's 18-game home winning streak against the Lions.
• Sunday is the last of three holiday games for the Packers, who played at Detroit on Thanksgiving and hosted Chicago this past Sunday on Christmas. Green Bay is the only team in NFL history to play on all three holidays in the same season.

HOME COOKING

• The Packers have won 12 straight contests at Lambeau Field and 18 of their last 19 at home. It is the fifth-longest home winning streak by Green Bay in the regular season in franchise history and thelongest current home winning streak in the NFL.
• Green Bay's 18-1 (.947) home mark since Week 10 of 2009 ranks No. 1 in the NFL over that span, ahead of New England (17-1, .944).
• The Packers are off to their first 7-0 start at home since 2002. That season, Green Bay went on to post a perfect 8-0 mark at Lambeau Field.
• The Packers are one of only three teams in the league that are unbeaten at home this season (Baltimore, 7-0; New Orleans, 7-0).
• Green Bay is averaging 39.4 points per game at home this season (No. 2 in the NFL). The Packers' franchise record is 38.0 ppg at home in 1942.

• FOX Sports, now in its 18th season as an NFL network television partner, will broadcast the game to a regional audience.
• Play-by-play man Thom Brennamanand color analystBrian Billick will have the call from the broadcast booth with Laura Okminreporting from the sidelines.
• Milwaukee's WTMJ (620 AM), airing Green Bay games since 1929, heads up the 52-station Packers Radio Network, with Wayne Larrivee(play-by-play) and two-time Packers Pro BowlerLarry McCarren (color) calling the action. The duo enters its 13th season of broadcasts together across the Packers Radio Network, which covers 43 markets in five states.
• The broadcast is also available on Sirius Satellite Radio (WTMJ feed) as part of the network's NFL Sunday Drive.
• DIRECTV subscribers can watch the game in HD on Channel 712.

SEVEN PACKERS EARN PRO BOWL SELECTIONS

• The NFL announced Pro Bowl rosters on Tuesday, and the Packers were represented with seven selections on this year's team.
• WR Greg Jennings, FB John Kuhn, LB Clay Matthews, QB Aaron Rodgers, NTB.J. Raji, C Scott Wells and CB Charles Woodsonwere all named to the team, with Kuhn, Matthews, Rodgers and Woodson selected as starters for the NFC squad.
• It marks the first time since 2004 that the Packers have had four offensive players selected to the Pro Bowl. For the fourth straight season, Green Bay has had at least three defensive players honored.
• For three of the players (Kuhn, Raji, Wells), it marks the first Pro Bowl selections of their careers.
• For Jennings, it is his second straight Pro Bowl selection as he becomes the first Green Bay wide receiver to be honored in back-to-back years since Donald Driver (2006-07).
• Matthews becomes the first Packer since RB John Brockington (1971-73) to earn Pro Bowl recognition each of his first three seasons in the league.
• Rodgers, who also was named to the Pro Bowl in 2009, was selected as the starter for the NFC for the first time in his career.
• Woodson has earned his eighth career Pro Bowl bid and fourth straight as a member of the Packers (also four straight years as a starter). He is the first Green Bay cornerback since Herb Adderley (1963-67) to be selected to the Pro Bowl in four consecutive seasons.

• QB Aaron Rodgers connected on 12-of-17 passes for 181 yards and three TDs, with WR Donald Driver catching one of those TD passes as part of a three-catch, 89-yard afternoon.
• CB Charles Woodson picked off QB Shaun Hill in the third quarter and returned the interception 48 yards for a touchdown. With the score, Woodson became the first player in NFL history to return an INT for a TD against the same team in three straight seasons.
• The Lions trimmed Green Bay's lead to 28-26 behind four Jason Hanson field goals in the second half, but the Packers ran out the final 6:32 behind the running of John Kuhn (34 yards on seven carries) and a 16-yard scramble from Rodgers.
