The Green Bay Packers on Thursday recognized participants from the third session of the Packers Mentor-Protégé Program at a reception in the Lambeau Field Atrium.
The program matches established mentor companies that can provide technical, managerial, financial or other guidance to protégés seeking to improve their competitive standing. These partnerships aim to foster business growth, economic development and job creation in Brown County and the surrounding area.
The four partnerships for the third session are Miron Construction, Neenah, and Current Electrical Services, Green Bay; Bay Towel, Green Bay, and Ascher's Janitorial Services, Abrams; The Boldt Company, Appleton, and Bonnie Kratz Photography, Luxemburg; and Integrys Energy Services, De Pere, and JT Engineering, Green Bay.
Miron Construction and Bay Towel were named most valuable mentors and Current Electrical Services and Ascher's Janitorial Services were names most valuable protégés for their dedication and success in the program.
The program's participants have demonstrated success in growing their businesses, including an increase in revenue and net profits, and number of clients. Additionally, the participants have increased the number of full- and part-time employees. In the three years now of mentoring, more than 80 full and part-time jobs have been created across the 15 protégé companies that have participated.
The program is administered by AFF Research LLC (AFFR). AFFR has consulted in the field of supplier diversity for 13 years, and has worked on the Lambeau Field redevelopment project and is working on the current Lambeau Field Atrium renovation project. AFFR assists their clients in designing and implementing comprehensive supplier diversity program. They also provide guidance to entrepreneurs.
