The Green Bay Packers, WLUK-TV Fox 11, Silver Lake College, United Healthcare, Broadway Automotive and Marian University May 14 hosted the "Best of the Class" in the Lambeau Field Atrium.
More than 200 of the top students from 92 Northeastern Wisconsin and Fox Valley schools attended and were congratulated for their efforts inside and outside the classroom. The students also were challenged to continue their success in the future.
Among the speakers addressing the group were Mark Murphy, Green Bay Packers President/CEO and Jay Zollar, Fox 11's vice president and general manager. Fox 11's Tom Milbourn and Michelle Melby emceed the event.
The students and their families enjoyed lunch, and the students participated in videotaped vignettes to be used during on-air salutes by Fox 11 to be aired during all station programming through June. The congratulatory program and the vignettes also will be available on www.fox11online.com beginning May 28.
The gathering marked the fifth consecutive year the event was hosted in the Atrium and the ninth consecutive year overall of the program.
