Packers Pro Shop employees are setting up for the shop's grand opening.
One week away from the grand opening of the new Packers Pro Shop, to be housed in the northeast corner of the Titletown Atrium at Lambeau Field, Pro Shop employees began unloading freight inside the new two-story, 6,500 square-foot space Friday afternoon.
The old Packers Pro Shop, which is only 1,750 square feet, will enjoy its last day of operation July 26, with the new Pro Shop opening its doors to customers for the first time the following morning, Saturday, July 27.
While some construction still remained to be completed, the improvement was already obvious.
"We want to be the top retailer in the NFL and in all of professional sports," said Kate Hogan, Packers Senior Manager of Retail Operations. "Certainly this provides us with the facility to do that. It's a major improvement in terms of the look, size and space that puts us among the very best."
Increased space doesn't just mean Packers fans will look at more of the same. Although there will be an increase in men's apparel products, Hogan said that women's and children's apparel, as well as home products, will receive the largest boosts in terms of product availability.
