Packers re-sign LB Jones

He recorded career highs in tackles (102) and passes defensed (six), and added two sacks and a forced fumble.

The Green Bay Packers have re-signed LB Brad Jones. Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations, announced the signing Thursday.

Jones played in all 16 games for Green Bay in 2012, starting a career-high 10 contests at inside linebacker. He recorded career highs in tackles (102) and passes defensed (six), and added two sacks and a forced fumble. His tackle total ranked third on the club during the regular season and he shared the team lead in tackles for the postseason, recording 16 stops (13 solo) over two games.

For his career, Jones has posted 182 tackles (124 solo), seven sacks, six passes defensed and a forced fumble. He has also made 24 tackles on special teams. Jones was selected by the Packers in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft out of the University of Colorado.
