Packers release C Madsen

The Green Bay Packers have released C Joe Madsen. The transaction was announced Monday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Madsen, a first-year player out of West Virginia University, was signed to Green Bay's practice squad on Jan. 3, 2015, where he spent the rest of the postseason. Madsen re-signed with the Packers on Jan. 20, 2015.
