The Green Bay Packers have released G Matt Rotheram and LS Jesse Schmitt. The transactions were announced Monday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.
Rotheram, a 6-foot-5, 325-pound first-year player out of the University of Pittsburgh, originally signed with the Packers as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2015 and spent the entire 2015 season on Green Bay's practice squad.
Schmitt, a 6-foot-2, 250-pound rookie out of Purdue signed with Green Bay on Aug. 9.
