The Green Bay Packers have signed a contract that makes Delaware North Companies Sportservice the new hospitality and food service provider for the team and Lambeau Field.
Sportservice takes over for Levy Restaurants, the Packers' food and beverage partner for the past 10 years. Levy's contract expires in July.
"Levy has been a great partner, and we've had joint success over the past 10 years," said Jennifer Ark, the Packers' director of stadium services. "We're always looking to enhance our fan experience and guest experience, both on gamedays and non-gamedays."
The partnership makes Sportservice the food service provider throughout all areas of Lambeau Field, including the Atrium restaurants, catering and special events, premium seating (suites and club seats), stadium concessions and player dining.
Sportservice's proposal was selected from among 10 submissions from various food and beverage companies in a bidding process that began last summer.
"To call the Green Bay Packers our partner and to work at Lambeau Field is an honor," Sportservice president Rick Abramson said. "The Packers' mindset is all about the fans, and our core value system at Sportservice is all about serving the fans."
Sportservice has been providing concessions for dozens of professional teams and stadiums for decades. Milwaukee's Miller Park and the Brewers are among the company's current clients.
Abramson coincidentally got his start in the food business selling hot dogs during the annual preseason Packers-Bears Upper Midwest Shrine Game at Milwaukee County Stadium in the 1960s and '70s. Fans can expect to experience the flavors of Wisconsin and several signature menu items at the stadium.
"A new organization coming on board will bring new ideas and new innovations," Ark said. "We're looking forward to working on those between now and the start of the season, all while keeping the fans top-of-mind."
Sportservice will be hiring and managing all in-stadium vendors and concession-stand workers, with those currently employed in those positions by Levy being given an opportunity to re-apply during an upcoming job fair, to be announced at a later time.
"We are excited to begin our new partnership with Sportservice," Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy said. "Much like the Green Bay Packers, they have a distinguished history of success and we are looking forward to the quality of food and beverage experience and service they will be providing to our fans."
