The Green Bay Packers have announced that Jostens will create the team's 4th Super Bowl Championship ring to symbolize their win in Super Bowl XLV and capture iconic elements of the Packers' football legacy.
Representatives from the team and Jostens are working together to finalize the ring design prior to producing a custom ring for players and members of the Packers organization.
"The Packers are very excited to team up once again with Jostens to create our Super Bowl ring," said Mark Murphy, Packers President and CEO. "Jostens shares our tradition of excellence, and we're eager to work with them for the fourth time to design and manufacture a Super Bowl ring. We're looking forward to continuing the relationship and providing our team a very unique and special piece of jewelry to capture their accomplishment."
In addition to finalizing design details, Packers staff and representatives from Jostens are preparing collections to include the entire Green Bay Packers community including shareholders, season ticket holders and fans. Each unique collection will celebrate this year's Super Bowl Champions while paying tribute to the rich legacy of the team, coaches, players and fans of Packers football and Lambeau Field.
"We are extremely honored to be selected by the Green Bay Packers to design and craft their Super Bowl ring and jewelry collections," said Tim Larson, President and CEO, Jostens. "It's fitting that on the 45th anniversary of the 1st Super Bowl ring, the Green Bay Packers and Jostens are once again working together to create a stunning championship ring."
The Green Bay Packers' relationship with Jostens dates back to legendary coach Vince Lombardi, who chose the company to commemorate the Packers' historic victory in Super Bowl I. The Packers subsequently selected Jostens to create the team's championship rings following Super Bowl II and Super Bowl XXXI. The Packers' Super Bowl XLV ring marks the 29th time Jostens has been selected to produce a Super Bowl ring. Jostens has designed and produced fine jewelry to recognize professional teams and athletes for over 60 years.
