In keeping with past practice, the Green Bay Packers have mailed playoff ticket invoices to season ticket holders this week in preparation for a possible home playoff game (or games) at Lambeau Field.
Ticket prices have been set by the NFL for the playoffs and are based on the respective prices of Lambeau Field bowl seats. An $87 seat will be $133 for a Wild Card game, $148 for a Divisional Playoff and $207 for the NFC Championship. A $76 seat will be $116, $129 and $180, respectively, and a $69 seat will be $106, $118 and $164, respectively.
This year, for the first time, ticket holders have the ability to pay with a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) when paying through the My Packers Account system on Packers.com. To use credit cards, payment must be made online.
'Green' package ticket holders, per regular custom, have been invoiced for the same seats they hold during the regular season.
Any seats not claimed by 'Green' package ticket holders will be randomly allocated to 'Gold' package ticket holders, who have been invoiced for the same number of seats (up to four) they hold during the regular season.
Invoices sent reflected the best possible playoff scenario: a Divisional Playoff and NFC Championship game. In the event one or both games are not played at Lambeau Field, or a Wild Card game is played instead of the Divisional Playoff, a refund will be issued and can be applied to 2012 season tickets, received via check or, if paid online, credited back to the ticket-holder's credit card account.
Club seat and suite holders have been invoiced as well, with pricing also set by the NFL. Per contract, premium seat holders must purchase all their invoiced tickets.
Full details of the playoff ticket information are included in the mailings. Payment must be received by 5 p.m., Dec. 6, in the Packers' ticket office. Playoff tickets will be mailed to ticket holders in late December.
