Packers, Shopko Team Up With New Product Displays In Wisconsin

*New Displays Feature Registration For 'Kickoff Kid,' The Gameday Promotion That Includes A Chance to Win Four Game Tickets, Opportunity To Retrieve Kicking Tee After Kickoff


The Green Bay Packers and Shopko are teaming up this season with new, unique Packers-themed displays in Wisconsin stores that will feature specially selected merchandise from some of the store's biggest brands for each of the team's home games.

Beginning Sunday, Aug. 30, the expansive displays will be in 35 Shopko stores throughout the state which will give kids 12 and younger the chance to participate in the "**Kickoff Kid**” contest, a program in which winners have the opportunity to retrieve the kicking tee from the field after the game's opening kickoff, plus four game tickets. One child will be selected the week prior to each Packers home game.

"The Packers are fortunate to have the support of so many young fans around the state, and we're very excited to partner with Shopko to provide kids the chance for a magical opportunity to take part in a game at Lambeau Field," said Laura Sankey, Packers senior vice president of marketing and sales. "Shopko has long been a trusted store for Wisconsin families and their locations will be an ideal setting for this special program."

"Shopko is very excited to grow our partnership with the Green Bay Packers to a new level by jointly developing customized product kiosks for our Wisconsin stores. The Packers kiosks are exclusive to Shopko and offer a great opportunity to connect the "hometown team and the hometown store" for thousands of Shopko customers that are avid Packers fans," said Jack Mullen, Shopko senior vice president of marketing. "This is Shopko's fourth year of supporting the 'Kickoff Kid' promotion and we are excited to be able to provide this special, unique opportunity to some lucky kids and their families."

Displays will feature Packers merchandise along with items from various vendors who are partnering with Shopko to present the "Kickoff Kid" promotion this season. Vendors include PlayStation, Mattel, Crayola, Bissell, Wrangler, Procter & Gamble and Kimberly Clark.
