The Green Bay Packers have signed DT Luther Robinson to the active roster from the practice squad. The transaction was announced Thursday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.
Robinson, a 6-foot-3, 301-pound rookie out of the University of Miami, was signed by Green Bay as a non-drafted free agent on May 19, 2014, after participating in the team's rookie orientation camp on a tryout basis. He has been on the Packers' practice squad since the first week of the regular season. The Greenville, Mississippi, native started three of 33 games played for the Hurricanes, recording 40 tackles (16 solo), including two for a loss, and two fumble recoveries. He will wear No. 97 for the Packers.
