The Green Bay Packers have signed G Lanier Coleman to the practice squad. The transaction was announced Tuesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Coleman, a 6-foot-4, 322-pound rookie out of Louisiana-Lafayette, entered the NFL as a free agent with the N.Y. Jets after participating in the team's rookie minicamp in May 2013 and was with the Jets during the preseason. He appeared in 28 games at Louisiana-Lafayette, playing guard for his first two seasons before moving to defensive tackle as a junior. Coleman will wear No. 63 for the Packers.
