Packers sign McCaffrey to practice squad

Undrafted rookie spent training camp with the Oakland Raiders

The Green Bay Packers have signed WR Max McCaffreyto the practice squad. The transaction was announced Tuesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

McCaffrey, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound rookie, was originally signed by the Oakland Raiders as an undrafted free agent on May 10. He was released by the Raiders on Aug. 29. McCaffrey played in 53 games with 38 starts in four years at Duke, totaling 117 receptions for 1,341 yards (11.5 avg.) and 12 touchdowns. He will wear No. 13 for the Packers.
