The Green Bay Packers have signed NT Anthony Toribio to the active roster and placed LB Jeremy Thompson on injured reserve. Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations, announced the transactions Wednesday.
A 6-foot-1, 315-pound first-year player, Toribio has spent the entire 2009 season on the Packers' practice squad. Also a practice-squad player for parts of 2008, he spent two weeks on the Packers' active roster at the end of last season but was a gameday inactive for each of the final two games.
Thompson saw action in six games this year.
The Packers also announced the addition of WR Khalil Jones to the practice squad. A 6-foot-1, 212-pound rookie from Miami, Jones spent time this past summer with the Atlanta Falcons. He will wear No. 17.
