The Green Bay Packers have signed PCody Mandell. The transaction was announced Monday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Mandell, a 6-foot-2, 217-pound first-year player out of the University of Alabama, appeared in 52 games for the Crimson Tide after joining the team as a walk-on in 2010. As a senior, he was named first-team All-Southeastern Conference by The Associated Press and was a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award and Burlsworth Trophy. For his career, Mandell averaged 42.6 yards per punt and landed 58 punts inside the 20-yard line.

Mandell spent part of the 2014 offseason as a member of the Dallas Cowboys. He will wear No. 9 for the Packers.
