The Green Bay Packers have signed CB James Nixonto the active roster from the practice squad and placed LB Robert Francois (Achilles) on injured reserve. The transactions were announced Monday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Nixon, a 6-foot, 186-pound first-year player out of California University (Pa.), has been a member of the Packers' practice squad for all four games this season and was also on Green Bay's practice squad for the final 14 regular-season games and both playoff contests in 2012. He originally entered the NFL as a non-drafted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals in May 2012.
