The Green Bay Packers signed T Kevin Hughes. The transaction was announced Wednesday by Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations.

Hughes, a 6-foot-4, 304-pound second-year player out of Southeastern Louisiana, entered the league as a non-drafted free agent with St. Louis in July 2011. He played in three games for the Rams in 2011 and also spent time on their practice squad that season. Hughes was also on San Diego's practice squad for the final six games in 2012. He earned second-team All-Southland Conference honors as a senior at Southeastern Louisiana in 2010.
