Packers sign TE Jared Cook

Cook played four seasons with the Titans and three with the Rams

The Green Bay Packers have signed TE Jared Cook. The signing was announced Monday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Cook, a 6-foot-5, 254-pound eighth-year player out of the University of South Carolina, entered the NFL as a third round draft pick (89th overall) by the Tennessee Titans in the 2009 NFL Draft. He played four seasons with the Titans before signing with the St. Louis Rams as a free agent on March 13, 2013, where he spent the past three seasons. For his career, Cook has started 42 of 107 games played, recording 273 receptions for 3,503 yards (12.8 avg.) and 16 receiving touchdowns.
