The Green Bay Packers have signed TE Justin Perillo to the active roster from the practice squad and released T Jamon Meredith. The transactions were announced Saturday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.
Perillo, a 6-foot-3, 250-pound rookie out of the University of Maine was originally signed by the Packers as a non-drafted free agent on May 12, 2014. He has spent the entire regular season on Green Bay's practice squad. Perillo played in 44 games with 35 starts at Maine, hauling in 128 receptions for 1,318 yards (10.3 avg.) and 15 touchdowns. He will wear No. 80 for the Packers.
