The Green Bay Packers have signed WR Alex Gillett to the practice squad and released G Jordan McCray from the practice squad. The transactions were announced Tuesday by Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations Ted Thompson.

Gillett, a 6-foot-1, 214-pound first-year player out of Eastern Michigan University, originally signed with Green Bay as a non-drafted free agent on May 22, 2013. He spent the second half of last season on the Packers' practice squad, as well as the 2014 offseason and training camp with the club. Gillett was waived after camp. He will wear No. 1 for the Packers.
