Packers to present Larry McCarren for election to board

Weyers to take on emeritus status at July's Annual Meeting; Finco is proposed to succeed Weyers on Executive Committee, Olson is proposed to become lead director

The Green Bay Packers will present one candidate for shareholder vote to join the Packers Board of Directors, Packers analyst Larry McCarren.

The candidate information was included in proxy information being sent this month to more than 350,000 shareholders in advance of the Annual Meeting, set for 11 a.m., July 28, at Lambeau Field. McCarren was approved by vote of the organization's Board of Directors at its quarterly meeting last month.

McCarren is a former Packers player and broadcast journalist, and he now works as an analyst for Packers Digital, as well as on the Packers Radio Network.

"The Packers are delighted to present Larry McCarren as a candidate for shareholder vote," said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. "He has meant so much to the organization over the years as a player, broadcaster and now as an employee. He will be a great addition to the Board."

The shareholders meeting also will see Larry Weyers take on emeritus status. Weyers has been a member of the Board since 2002 and member of the Executive Committee since 2004, and has served as the corporation's vice president and lead director since 2010.

"Larry has been an outstanding leader for us. His fine work on the Executive Committee is a main reason the organization is in such great shape now," said Murphy. "We look forward to his continued contributions as an emeritus member of the Board."

Proposed to succeed Weyers on the Executive Committee is Susan Finco, owner and president of Leonard and Finco Public Relations. Finco has been a member of the Board since 2000 and serves on the community relations and directors affairs committees. In addition, Tom Olson is proposed to succeed Weyers as the corporation's vice president and lead director. Olson has been a member of the Board since 2006 and a member of the Executive Committee since 2012, and also serves on the director affairs and Packers Foundation committees. The proposed changes will be taken up at the Board's August meeting.

"We are excited to have Susan become a member of our Executive Committee," said Murphy. "She's done an outstanding job as Chair of the Community Relations Committee and will be a great addition to the Executive Committee.

"I have tremendous respect for Tom. He's been a valuable member of the Executive Committee, and we look forward to working with him as Lead Director."

Shareholders planning on attending the Annual Meeting July 28 will be issued four tickets for each shareholder account, including accounts that have a joint or custodial registration. Shareholders receiving meeting materials electronically will be able to access print-at-home tickets upon voting their shares. Shareholders who receive their meeting information via standard mail will receive printed tickets in that same mailing.
