GREEN BAY -- Kickoff for the Christmas Eve game between the Packers and Vikings at Lambeau Field will remain at noon CT, the NFL announced on Monday.

There was a possibility the game could be switched to 3:25 p.m. CT, but the league decided to shift the kickoff of Tampa Bay's game at New Orleans on Dec. 24 to the later time slot instead.

Flex scheduling decisions for Jan. 1 (Week 17), when Green Bay travels to Detroit, have not yet been made. The final week of the regular season is the only week the league can make flex decisions within a week of the games, instead of the usual two weeks advance notice.

The NFL has not yet selected which game on Jan. 1 will be played in prime time. Afternoon game times could be swapped as well. Green Bay's game at Detroit is currently scheduled for noon CT.
