MINNESOTA (2-6) AT GREEN BAY (8-0)Monday, Nov. 14 - Lambeau Field - 7:30 p.m. CST

PACKERS HOST VIKINGS IN PRIME-TIME MATCHUP

• Green Bay returns home for the first time in nearly a month to host the division-rival Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football at Lambeau Field.
• This is the fourth straight year and the sixth time in seven seasons that the border rivals have squared off in a prime-time matchup.
• Green Bay owns the NFC's longest MNF appearance streak at 19 seasons (1993-2011). In the NFL, only Denver (20, 1992-2011) has a longer streak. This is the Packers' lone appearance on MNF this season and their third of four scheduled prime-time games.
• It is the third straight season that the two meetings between the clubs have come within a month of each other. Green Bay topped Minnesota, 33-27, in Week 7 this season at Mall of America Field in Minneapolis.
• The Minnesota game kicks off a stretch of three games in 11 days for the Packers. Green Bay has some familiarity with a schedule like that, having played three games in 12 days in 2009, emerging victorious in all three.
• The Packers are off to an 8-0 start for the first time since 1962 and only the fifth time in franchise history.
• The four previous 8-0 starts in team history (1929-31, 1962) all resulted in NFL titles for the Packers.
• Including playoffs, the Packers have won14 straight games, the longest winning streak in team history. That tops the previous mark of 12 games from 1961-62.
• The Packers' streak of 10 consecutive wins in the regular season (2010-11) ranks No. 3 in franchise annals behind only 11-game streaks in 1928-29 and 1961-62.
• This is the second regular-season winning streak of eight or more games during McCarthy's tenure (eight-game streak in 2006-07).
• The Packers have won eight straight contests at Lambeau Field and 14 of their last 15 at home. It is the longest home winning streak by Green Bay since an 11-game streak from 2001-02 and thelongest current home winning streak in the NFL.
• Green Bay's 14-1 (.933) home mark since Week 10 of 2009 is tied for No. 1 in the NFL over that span with New England (14-1, .933).

AN EVENLY MATCHED SERIES

• Through 101 meetings, which includes one postseason game, the Packers hold a 52-48-1 advantage over the Vikings in the all-time series.
• Fans can bet on a back-and-forth contest when the two clubs meet, one that always seems to come down to the final possession. In fact, 15 of the past 18 regular-season meetings have been decided by seven points or less, the lone exceptions being the Packers' 34-0 blanking of the Vikings in 2007 at Lambeau Field, Minnesota's 38-26 victory at Green Bay in 2009 and Green Bay's 31-3 win at Minnesota last season.
• The Packers will be looking for their fourth sweep of the Vikings in six seasons under McCarthy, having won both games in 2006, 2007 and 2010.
• This will be the eighth meeting between the teams on Monday Night Football, with the Vikings holding a 4-3 edge in those matchups.

WITH THE CALL

• ESPN is in its sixth season as host of the most successful series in sports television history, Monday Night Football. Play-by-play man Mike Tirico is joined by analysts Ron Jaworskiand Jon Gruden for the 42nd season of MNF broadcasts, withRachel Nichols reporting from the sidelines.
• The contest also will air as a simulcast locally on WBAY (Ch. 2) in Green Bay and WISN (Ch. 12) in Milwaukee. ESPN International will air the contest in three languages to over 180 countries.
• Milwaukee's WTMJ (620 AM), airing Green Bay games since 1929, heads up the 52-station Packers Radio Network, with Wayne Larrivee(play-by-play) and two-time Packers Pro BowlerLarry McCarren (color) calling the action. The duo enters its 13th season of broadcasts together across the Packers Radio Network, which covers 43 markets in five states.
• Westwood One radio will air the game across the country. Kevin Harlan (play-by-play) and Boomer Esiason (analyst) will call the action with Mark Malone reporting from the sidelines. Jim Gray hosts pregame and halftime shows.
• The broadcast is also available on Sirius Satellite Radio (WTMJ feed) as part of the network's NFL Sunday Drive.
• DIRECTV subscribers can watch the game in HD on Channel 206.

• One of only two coaches, along with New Orleans' Sean Payton, to have his offense ranked in the top 10 in total yardage each of the last five seasons.

• QB Aaron Rodgers connected on 21-of-34 passes for 295 yards and two TDs, including a 14-yard TD strike to WR Greg Jennings to give Green Bay a 21-17 lead midway through the third quarter, one they would never relinquish.
• Green Bay's defense intercepted Vikings QB Brett Favre three times on the evening, with the key one posted by LB Desmond Bishop in the third quarter. Bishop stayed with WR Randy Moss on the play despite a pump fake by Favre, and returned the pick 32 yards for a TD.
• Favre threw an apparent TD pass to WR Percy Harvin to give Minnesota the lead with 48 seconds remaining, but after reviewing the play, the officials ruled that Harvin did not get both feet in bounds in the back of the end zone. On fourth-and-15 at the Green Bay 20, Favre threw incomplete to Moss in the back of the end zone to give the Packers the win.
• The victory for the Packers started what is now an eight-game winning streak at Lambeau Field, the longest streak by the team since an 11-game winning streak at home from 2001-02.
