Packers vs. Seahawks: Five key matchups

1. Interior of Packers defense vs. Marshawn Lynch—The interior triangle of nose tackle B.J. Raji and inside linebackers A.J. Hawk and D.J. Smith will be entrusted with the task of stopping Lynch, a quick and powerful inside runner who has a knack for finding creases in a defense. The Packers need to be gap sound in their attempt to stop Lynch.

2. Nick Perry and Erik Walden vs. Russell Wilson—Perry and Walden will split time at the critical left outside linebacker position, which will bear the responsibility of maintaining containment and keeping Wilson from flushing to his right, which is his run-pass side of the field.

3. Aaron Rodgers vs. Seahawks defensive scheme—The Seahawks defense has played a lot of single-high safety in its first two games. That's a look that would make Rodgers' eyes bulge. If and when he sees it, he needs to take advantage of it.

4. Randall Cobb vs. Leon Washington—They are two premier return men, each of whom already has long returns and impressive averages. Washington has an 83-yard kickoff return and a 52-yard punt return to his credit. Cobb returned a punt 75 yards for a touchdown in Week 1. Each returner offers the potential to tip the scale in his team's favor.

5. Clay Matthews vs. Russell Okung—The Seattle left tackle is expected to be back in the starting lineup after missing the Seahawks' win over Dallas due to a bruised knee. Matthews, who leads the league with six sacks in two games, will test Okung's knee early and often. Additional coverage - Sept. 22
