The Green Bay Packers Tuesday waived defensive tackle Larry Smith, GM/Head Coach Mike Sherman announced.

Smith, a 6-5, 292-pound veteran out of Florida State, had re-signed with the Packers Oct. 7, taking the roster spot of Doug Pederson, placed on injured reserve. He provided depth on the defensive line with the Packers' top two nose tackles, Grady Jackson and James Lee, out with injuries.

Since rejoining the Packers, Smith had played in all three games, recording four tackles (three solo).
