The Green Bay Packers and Green Bay Police Department have implemented adjustments to the enhanced screening at Lambeau Field entry gates, which will be in place for this Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams.
The adjustments were made after enhanced measures resulted in delays for fan entrance to the Oct. 2 game against the Denver Broncos.
"Even though we've made changes to our process, we're asking folks to allow extra time for the screening process, enter at their assigned gate, and to bring no or minimal carry-ins," said Doug Collins, Packers director of security/risk management.
The procedure will continue to use hand-held metal-detecting wands, with the updated process including more screening lines, more screening officers and a streamline screening process.
"The NFL is committed to providing a safe environment for our fans," said the NFL's vice president/chief security officer Jeff Miller. "Our goal is to improve fan safety in a way that minimizes the impact on our fans. We will continue to refine our process in support of that goal."
The enhanced security measures were implemented upon the request of the NFL.
