GREEN BAY -- The Packers don't have second-year CB Quinten Rollins for today's playoff game vs. the Giants, but overall they are as healthy as they've been in a while.
WR Randall Cobb is back in the lineup after missing two games due to an ankle injury, CB Damarious Randall is active after leaving last week's game with a knee injury (and dealing with groin and shoulder injuries) throughout the season, and C/G JC Tretter is active as a backup offensive lineman for the first time since injuring his knee in Atlanta back on Oct. 30.
Cobb's availability gets the receiving corps pretty much to full strength, and maybe better considering the recent emergence of undrafted rookie Geronimo Allison in Cobb's place. Allison has eight catches for 157 yards and a touchdown in the last two games.
Also, FB Aaron Ripkowski is active after being a late addition to the injury report on Saturday with a shoulder injury. Ripkowski rushed for 61 yards and caught a TD pass last week in the NFC North title showdown in Detroit.
The Packers are taking no chances health-wise in the defensive backfield, though. Undrafted rookie CB Josh Hawkins, who has been inactive on gameday much of the season, is active today, as is another undrafted rookie in Herb Waters, who converted to CB from WR after the regular season started. Both players are available for duty in the secondary if called upon.
Winner to Dallas: The winner of today's game will head to Dallas to take on the No. 1 seed Cowboys next Sunday in the same time slot, 3:40 p.m. CT. The other NFC Divisional round game will pit Seattle at Atlanta on Saturday afternoon.
Weather update: The temperature in Green Bay is around 12 degrees, with the wind chill just above zero, and the conditions are expected to stay like that throughout the game. During the week, it was considerably colder and with more wind, so the Packers practiced in weather much worse than what they're going to encounter during the game.
This will be the third-coldest playoff game of the Mike McCarthy era, behind the 2007 NFC title game (minus-1) and the 2013 wild-card game (5 degrees).
On the verge: QB Aaron Rodgers has a handful of franchise postseason records already, but WR Jordy Nelson could get one for himself today.
Nelson has 47 career receptions in playoff games, tied for third in team history but just four away from taking over the top spot from former teammate Greg Jennings, who had 50 career postseason receptions for Green Bay.
Nelson is currently tied with Antonio Freeman at 47, two behind Donald Driver at 49 and three behind Jennings.
More to the story: Not only did the Packers start playing better, obviously, down the stretch this season, but they also started showing the ability to overcome mistakes that had doomed them earlier in the year.
