For those of you who have ever wanted to peek inside the mind of a Packers player, here's your chance. For those who wish they knew more about a player than his statistics and position on the depth chart, this is for you.
It was with those desires in mind that Packers.com peppered several Packers players with a series of Random Questions. Here's what happened when we got rookie linebacker Marcus Wilkins in the hot seat:
What's your favorite TV show?
I love the Simpsons, I've always got to watch them.
What's your favorite food?
I'm a huge fan of Chinese food. I cook every once in a while, but only enough for me to eat.
What's your favorite movie?
I think it's only a matter of time before the show Simpsons is made into a movie, but until then I'd have to say I like action movies. One's with Schwarzenegger. Something where everything blows up. I'm pretty excited to see Terminator 3 this summer.
What's your favorite video game?
I don't play video games very much, but I've been playing a lot of Halo recently on X-box.
What's your favorite opposing city to visit?
I'm from Texas, so I guess I'd like to go beat up on the Cowboys or Texans, either one of them.
Who is the funniest player on the team?
Rod Walker is a big clown, I'd vote for him any day.
Who is the first person you call on the telephone after a game?
I call my mom. She's always interested to know so I keep her updated
Who would you like to see match-up in an episode of Fox's Celebrity Boxing?
I'd like to see Steven Segal get his butt kicked and beat up by anybody. Why is he still making movies?
Who were your sports heroes growing up?
I had the same heroes that everyone else did, you know Michael Jordan, he's a finisher. He's the greatest player to ever play basketball. I thought I was going to be a basketball player growing up, guess it didn't work out that way. But you know I'll take football.
If you weren't in the NFL, what would you be doing?
I'd be finishing my last semester in college and trying to find an internship somewhere.
What's in your CD player right now?
It's not 'N Sync for sure! Ha! Right now it's the new Cee-lo.
What's your favorite TV commercial?
The Budweiser frogs by far, because it really sticks with you. The frogs, not the lizards.
Growing up, what's the worst job you ever had?
I worked at K-Mart, hands down the worst job ever, from the ugly vest down to stocking dog food. It's definitely motivation to work harder in sports.
Who is the one person (not among your family) that you'd want to be stuck with on a deserted island?
I guess you could stick me with a buddy of mine back home named Ricky. Good guy, we could just sit around and talk about anything.
What was it like to play with Favre in the golf tourney during mini-camp?
Well obviously you see him when you're watching TV as you're growing up whether it's an endorsement, or a thing about the greatest players in football. It was cool to meet him and get to talk with him, he was so nice. He helped me with my golf game. No disappointments, he was everything I expected.
I noticed you got a tattoo recently what is it and what is it's significance?
I got a pharaoh basically that matches my Nefertiti on my other arm with a crest around it. It's my black king, black queen coming together. I'm looking for one, a queen. I think I might have found her though, she's back home.
Tell me a good (non-dirty) joke?
What? Who the heck tells clean jokes? That's a joke in itself. How funny is a clean joke?
