Random Questions With Rod Walker

Nicknamed 'Mr. Big' by one of his coaches, Rod Walker has hopes of working as either a probation officer or prison warden, once his playing days are over.

For now, the 6-foot-3, 319-pound defensive tackle is concentrating on breaking into backfields and wreaking havoc on opposing running backs and quarterbacks.

Recently, Packers.com managed to tame 'Mr. Big' for a few minutes as he tackled a few of our Random Questions.

Packers.com: What have you been doing this offseason?

Rod Walker: "I've been traveling, doing some sightseeing. I've done a few camps. I helped Cletidus Hunt with a camp in Memphis. I was at Darren Sharper's golf tournament. That's pretty much it, besides relaxing. I'm going to be spending time with my son over the next few weeks."

Do you watch any Reality TV?

"Yes. I watch all of them. I flip stations. I like For Love Or Money, Anything For Love, Making The Band. I pretty much like all of them.

What type of music would we find in your CD player right now?

"B.G., David Banner, Outkast, Jay-Z, Trick Daddy."

What's the strangest autograph request you have ever received?

"I signed a birdhouse. I thought it was the funniest thing I had ever seen in my life."

What's the funniest thing you've ever seen on the field?

"The way Steve Warren dances when he makes a good play. That might be the funniest thing in football right now."

What position would you least like to play?

"Quarterback. I can't throw very good."

Where did you grow up and what is the best thing about your hometown?

"Milton, Florida. The weather."

What is the best thing about being Packer?

"The tradition and just what it means to wear the green and gold."

What is the biggest misconception about you if any?

"A lot of people think I'm mean. I guess when they see me I'm not smiling all the time. I'm a nice guy though."

Who is the best dressed player on the team?

"Probably Antuan Edwards. He's always dressing nice."

Who is the toughest player you've ever matched up against?

"Tre' Johnson. We played with the Redskins when I went up against him. We were both on the same team but he was a beast."

Do you have any nicknames?

"Mr. Big. I'm not sure how that came about but (defensive line coach) Jethro Franklin gave it to me."

Do you have any tattoos?

"The one on my left forearm is the Hulk with a bear head holding on to a skull, because I think I'm a bear. On my right shoulder I have a bulldog with 'Mr. Big' on it, but that was before I got the nickname. I got this in college."

Can you cook?

"Yes. Seafood. Any kind of seafood."

What's the worst job you've ever had?

"I worked at a chicken plant for one day. I learned how to de-bone chicken. I couldn't take it. Having to stand in water knee-high for about 9-10 hours. It was disgusting."

What's your favorite movie?

"Belly."

What's your favorite magazine?

"Black Men Magazine."

What's your favorite game show?

"Jeopardy."

What's your favorite TV commercial?

"The beer commercial when Cedric the Entertainer shakes up that beer and it explodes everywhere."

What's your favorite opposing city to visit?

"Nashville. I have a lot of friends there from when I played at Tennessee."

What was your favorite toy growing up as a kid?

"Rock'em, Sock'em Robots."

What types of hobbies do you enjoy?

"I've been trying to learn about real estate, buying and selling homes and those types of things."

What made you choose to play football?

"I think it chose me. There's not too much to do when you're 300 pounds."

Have you ever been to Disneyland?

"No. I don't like heights and I'm scared of rides."

Which athletes do you admire, either growing up or now?

"Marco Coleman. He helped me out a lot when I first got into the league with the Redskins. I didn't know anything and he walked me through it all. I liked Jerome Brown, he was a beast, and Leon Lett."
