The Green Bay Packers continued their playoff success with both Aaron Rodgers and Tramon Williams earning selection as the Packers Hall of Fame Featured Players of the Week for their performances in the victory over the Atlanta Falcons Saturday night.
Rodgers, who garnered his fourth selection this season, threw for 366 yards with three touchdown passes and added a TD run while leading the Packers to a 48-21 rout over the top-seeded Falcons. His performance fueled the highest-scoring playoff game in Packers history, as he completed 31-of-36 passes and guided his team to 35 consecutive points.
On the defensive side, Williams recorded two interceptions, including a game-changing 70-yard touchdown return as the first half expired, giving the Packers a 28-14 lead. His first interception came with the Falcons facing a third-and-21 from the Packers' 26-yard line. The snag in the end zone in front of Falcons receiver Michael Jenkins helped preserve the 14-14 tie.
His second pick from Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan as time expired in the second quarter gave the Packers a huge shift in momentum, as they were also scheduled to receive the opening kick for the third quarter. Saturday's performance marked his ninth interception in 18 games.
Each week, new items from the previous weekend's game will be placed in the display to be viewed by visitors to the Hall. Included among the items will be the autographed game ball, which at the end of the week will be awarded randomly to a Hall of Fame visitor who signed up for the free drawing.
