GREEN BAY -- The Packers' coordinators along with the defensive assistant coaches met with the media on Thursday in the Lambeau Field auditorium.
Here's a rundown of some of their key comments.
Special teams coordinator Ron Zook
(on Saints returner Ted Ginn Jr.)
"We all know he can run, and he's been around a long time, but he can still run real fast. I showed the clip from two years ago against Carolina where he got on the edge, but we have to do a good job. Bottle him up. Speed kills."
(on the urge to bring more kickoffs back rather than always take touchbacks)
"That's what Trevor did. 'I'm coming out.' I just said be smart. The hard thing is how do you get better, because you get better in the game situation. We've accelerated the last couple weeks with our kickoff return preparation."
"We have to give our returner a chance to make some money."
Offensive coordinator Edgar Bennett
(on how Hundley has looked this week)
"Pretty good. We've had two really good days of practice. His overall preparation has been excellent."
(on the strength of the Saints' defense)
"Their ability to create turnovers. That stood out on the tape, no doubt about that. And their ability to create tipped balls as well. We have to do a great job protecting the football against this team."
(on the struggles with the screen game)
"We all have to be in sync in order to be more consistent and productive when it comes to running the screens. Certainly the timing plays into it."
Defensive coordinator Dom Capers
(on Biegel's first two days)
"I can tell you he's excited about being back out there. It's been a long time. The last time we had a chance to look at him was rookie camp. Vince is a high-energy guy, and he brings that energy and enthusiasm to practice."
(on Brees)
"He's done it for a lot of years, at a very high level. Right now, he doesn't take sacks. He's been sacked four times. Gets the ball out of his hands, makes good decisions, doesn't turn the ball over a lot. He's very astute with what works in their offense against different defensive looks. Very savvy, instinctive veteran who's in a good scheme and really knows the scheme. He doesn't take a lot of negative plays."

"If there is, I don't see it. He's always been a real rhythm and timing thrower. He has a good feel for hitting receivers on the move. He's very accurate. If he feels you've got a guy coming who's not blocked, he's going to get rid of the ball. He's seen it all. You aren't going to show him anything he hasn't seen yet."
Assistant head coach/linebackers Winston Moss
(on first impression of Biegel)
"He's picked things up quickly. He's responded to conditioning. He's looked very solid."
(do you have to calm him down?)
"When he first got here after the draft, he was very overly excited. Now, he's that same type of temperament, but he's more measured. He's going to be his normal, upbeat, up-tempo, but take it in control."
(on how soon he can contribute)
"If there's anybody who could do something as early as possible, Vince is one of those types of guys. He's been on point mentally, so it's just the physical. The banging, going to bed sore and waking back up. Once we get through that hurdle, we'll be ready to go."
Defensive line coach Mike Trgovac
(on Clark shedding blocks)
"Number one, he works at it a lot. That's a main emphasis of ours, to release off a block like that. He's a good leverage player, a wrestler in there trying to keep guys away from him. That's one of the main things we work on every day."
(on Saints RB Ingram)
"He's got a combination of good size, speed and really good vision. He can make that jump cut. He's a good, hard running back. I think he's got the whole gamut in there. Then they bring the other guy in, and he's a good complement to him."
Cornerbacks coach Joe Whitt Jr.
(on Rollins and his season-ending Achilles injury)
"There's nothing I'm going to say that can make him feel better. That's a hard injury to have. It's unfortunate. You have to accept it, rehab. He's a hard-working young man. I don't question his ability to come back and push through like he always has."
(on getting King back)
"Just to get anybody back healthy is good. At one point last game we were down to one corner. When we can actually have three corners out on the field at the same time would be good. It's not necessarily just pointing Kevin out, but to have House, a healthy Pipkins, a healthy Damarious. Just four, five healthy bodies would be a good start."
(on Randall)
"What I want to see from him is consistent play. Not just one or two games, but consistent play, inside or outside, wherever we need him to play. Hopefully he can keep that up. He's that one player who can give you that splash, and he's brought some of that we need, and that we're going to need moving forward."
Safeties coach Darren Perry
(on teaching his guys to play CB)
"The more you can do. It felt like Detroit all over again. Not as much riding on it, but nonetheless, a divisional game, a big game. We managed. Those guys are athletic enough. When we get in situations like that, we have to be careful what we ask them to do, but there's no blink, no panic."
(on Clinton-Dix so far this year)
"He's played solid. He hasn't had a lot of the big splash plays, but they'll come. You have to be patient. Sometimes it can be a thankless position, but those guys understand that. When things aren't going right, sometimes those guys want to do more, but you have to be careful. Week to week it could be a different guy. We have to be selfless enough to understand that."
(on Brees)
"He's been in that system a long time. He can look as if he's throwing the ball blind, because he knows where everybody's supposed to be. He can still get the ball in tight windows, on seam routes, outside the numbers."
(on what's missing with Burnett out)
"The chemistry. Just like last year, we've got a lot of moving parts, and when you're used to someone's voice … you look around, you've got this guy, this guy. It takes time to build that. That's what we're fighting through right now."
Assistant linebackers coach Scott McCurley
(on Martinez in pass coverage)
"I think the keys first of all are slowing down a little bit, just in some of his vision. He's getting more of a feel for it. In the pass game, there's a lot more going on at this level than what these guys have seen in college."
(on his pass rush)
"He's playing with a lot of violence and play speed, and that carries over to his rush whether he's coming from that mug position or off the edge."
(on the Saints throwing passes to RBs)
"(Brees) is keeping those backs involved. It's a challenge, definitely. Where some teams, it's more of a deceptive type play, with these guys, it's more a staple of what they do."
