The Green Bay Packers, along with Kraft Foods and Roundy's Supermarkets, will host "Green Bay Packers Taste of the NFL" Thursday evening, Oct. 2, in the Lambeau Field Atrium, the team announced today.
The event, which will include Packers player appearances, will benefit hunger related charities throughout Wisconsin. Some of Wisconsin's finest restaurants will be featured.
It will be a "local" version of the Taste of the NFL, the popular event that debuted at Super Bowl XXVI in 1992 in Minneapolis, and for each of the last 16 years has been presented on the eve of the Super Bowl in each of the host cities. Since its beginning, Taste of the NFL has raised more than $6.8 million which has been distributed to hunger-relief groups.
More details, including ticket information, will be released in the near future.
