Sherrod Packers' first-round pick

The Packers have selected Mississippi State offensive tackle Derek Sherrod with the 32nd and final pick of the first round of the draft. The selection of Sherrod completed the first day of the draft.

Sherrod was selected right where he was projected to go. It marks the second consecutive year the Packers selected an offensive lineman in the first round. Last year, the Packers picked Iowa tackle Bryan Bulaga. Packers.com will update this bulletin with details of the selection, information on Sherrod and his college career, and comments from Packers General Manager Ted Thompson.
