In preparation for their showdown in the desert with the Arizona Cardinals Saturday night, the Packers took practice inside Lambeau Field for the second Friday in a row.
The purpose of these light pre-game practices is to review formations that will be utilized in the upcoming game. Veterans take the field for the first half-hour, and then are excused to change and eat lunch before heading to the airport. The first-year players stay behind for an extra half-hour of practice before joining the veterans.
The Packers square off against the Cardinals Saturday, August 17, at 9:00 p.m. CT. The game will be televised statewide. The team will practice inside Lambeau Field Monday, August 19, and that practice will be closed to the public.
The Packers' next open-to-the-public practice will be Tuesday, August 20, from 8:45-9:30 a.m., and from 2:15-4:15 p.m., at Clarke Hinkle Field, weather and field conditions permitting.
