In preparation for their first preseason game, the Packers took practice inside Lambeau Field for a brief walkthrough before leaving for Canton, Ohio, Sunday.

"I'm just ready," said cornerback Chris Johnson, who along with the rest of the rookies will be playing in his first professional football game. "We've been practicing for about two weeks against each other. It's going to be something different to hit somebody else from a different team.

"There's going to be a bunch of butterflies the first couple of plays, but after that I'm just going to try to get myself situated and just play ball."

The Packers will make their preseason debut Monday night against the Kansas City Chiefs on national television (ABC) in the annual Hall of Fame Game at Canton. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. (CDT).

The next public practice will be Wednesday when the Packers return to Clarke Hinkle Field for two workouts: 8:45-11:15 a.m. (pads) and 2:15-3:15 p.m. (special teams).
