Newsradio 620 WTMJ's Wayne Larrivee, the "voice of the Packers," will emcee the event.
Packers running back Ryan Grant, one of the NFL's leading rushers in the latter half of the 2007 campaign, will be on hand to address the team's remarkable performance last year, preview the upcoming season and answer questions. Grant also will be available for autographs following the program.
"The Young and the Fearless" tells the story of the Packers' 2007 season and displays the striking cinematography of NFL Films. The film highlights several of the team's impressive performances from last year's 13-3 regular season which saw the team capture the NFC North Division title and advance to the conference championship game. Among the season's great moments featured in the film are the strong start, impressive back-to-back road wins at Denver and Kansas City and record-breaking performances by quarterback Brett Favre.
The film culminates with action from the rousing divisional playoff win against the Seahawks in the winter storm that had Lambeau Field transformed to a "snow globe." The victory included three passing TDs by Favre and a Packers playoff-record 201 rushing yards by Grant.
A regular NFL Films feature, the "miked-up" segments, are found throughout the film, focusing on Favre, linebacker Nick Barnett and Head Coach Mike McCarthy, the Motorola NFL Coach of the Year in 2007.
In addition, the film is punctuated by dramatic, voice-over descriptions of impact plays by Wayne Larrivee and Larry McCarren, of the Packers Radio Network. Produced, written and edited by NFL Films, in conjunction with the Packers' public relations department, it is narrated by Robb Webb.
The film also is scheduled to be available for purchase through the Packers Pro Shop (in person and online), beginning April 25. Preorders are now available online through www.packersproshop.com.
