RODGERS HITS COBB FOR 35-YARD TD ON FOURTH DOWN
Late in the first quarter, the Packers faced fourth-and-3 from the Washington 35-yard line and decided to go for it. QB Aaron Rodgers was just starting to break the pocket when he saw WR Randall Cobb coming open across the middle. Cobb caught the short throw and ran untouched to the end zone, giving Green Bay a 10-0 lead.
JONES GOES 57 YARDS ON CATCH-AND-RUN
On the longest pass play on a day full of big plays, WR James Jones was wide open down the left sideline, and Rodgers found him for a 57-yard gain, setting up a TD to make the score 24-0 at halftime. Rodgers went on to tie the single-game franchise record with 480 yards passing, while Jones set career highs with 11 catches for 178 yards.
STARKS RAMBLES 32 YARDS FOR TD
Filling in for the injured Eddie Lacy, RB James Starks ran through a huge hole on the left side and went 32 yards for a touchdown, extending Green Bay's lead to 38-7 late in the third quarter. Starks would finish the game with 20 carries for 132 yards, the first Packers RB to go over 100 yards in a game since 2010.
