Coming off a game in which Atlanta WR Julio Jones had a career night (11 catches, 259 yards), the Packers defense needed a redemption game of sorts against Buffalo WR Sammy Watkins. The star rookie was coming off a big game of his own, with seven catches for 127 yards against Denver the previous week.
Using a combination of defenders and coverages, the Packers got the job done. They rendered Watkins rather ineffective on Sunday in Buffalo, as he posted just one catch for 28 yards, which made Bills QB Kyle Orton find someone else to throw to. In this week's edition of "What You Might've Missed," Packers.com's Mike Spofford breaks down some of the coverage on Watkins and how the defense held him in check.
