Green Bay Packers alumni William Henderson will be replacing Boyd Dowler at this weekend's alumni appearances due to Hurricane Sandy's effect on East Coast travel. Bobby Dillon is still scheduled to appear this weekend.
Henderson and Dillon will be signing autographs and visiting with fans in the Packers Pro Shop on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
The Tundra Tailgate Zone will also feature Henderson on gameday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., where he will be visiting with fans and signing autographs. More information on the Tundra Tailgate Zone can be found online at www.packers.com/gameday/tundra-tailgate-zone.html.
Also on Sunday, Dillon will be visiting with fans and signing autographs from during that same time in the Legends Club on the Associated Bank Club Level, an area accessible to game attendees with suite or club seat tickets, as a guest of the 'Alumni Meet and Greet.'
Dillon, a third-round 1952 NFL Draft pick, intercepted 52 passes in his nine seasons as a Green Bay Packers defensive back. A graduate of the University of Texas, the five-time All Pro was Green Bay's interception leader or co-leader for seven consecutive seasons, a Packers record. To this day, he remains the team's all-time interception leader. He was inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame in 1974.
Henderson, a third-round selection from North Carolina, spent 12 seasons in Green Bay (1995-2006) and appeared in 188 games with 112 starts. His 188 career games were more than all but three players in team history (Brett Favre, Bart Starr and Ray Nitschke). A bruising blocker, Henderson helped pave the way for seven 1,000-yard rushers. Also a productive contributor with the ball, he caught 320 passes for 2,409 yards and 14 touchdowns, and rushed for 426 yards on 112 carries with five scores. A member of the Packers' Super Bowl XXXI and XXXII teams, he earned All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors in 2004.
Both former Packers players will be introduced on Lambeau Field during pregame festivities.
