All the excitement of the holiday season doesn't have to come to an end, as the fun continues in Titletown with new activities and programming starting in January through mid-March.
The fifth annual Titletown Winter Games presented by U.S. Venture will transform Titletown into a winter sports wonderland on Feb. 17 and 18. The much-anticipated event offers community members the chance to experience the thrill of winter sports, such as luge, curling, biathlon and cross-country skiing, figure skating and ski jumping. The fan-favorite Titletown Esports League powered by Edge VR Arcade and Gamers Lounge is returning for its fourth season this year. The program kicks off on Wednesday, Feb. 7, and will include seven weeks of weekly virtual play, followed by playoffs and in-person Grand Finals, featuring Rocket League, a digital gaming platform featuring vehicular soccer matches. Beat the cold-weather blues with plenty of activities to keep busy throughout the winter months. From staying active to fun DIY nights, Titletown has plenty to occupy visitors in the winter. Guests can try their hand at Woodburning crafts (registration required) or participate in Art Wellness activities, as a part of Get Creative presented by Elevate97. New this year, visitors can also attempt Snow Golf on Titletown's snow covered football field on Saturday afternoons (dependent on weather conditions). Returning programs include Family Fitness, Fireside Drinks, Kicksled, Winter Playdate!, Cardio Dance, Yoga and many more. Ice skating on Hy-Vee plaza and tubing on Ariens Hill will also be open as weather conditions allow. Tube riders and skaters are reminded that everyone using the rink and hill must complete a waiver. Waivers may be completed ahead of time at titletown.com/waivers. Season passes for skating and tubing are now available in person only at Admissions and require a one-time waiver, which can be completed online in advance at titletown.com/waivers and one-time payment for each pass-holder. Guests can look forward to themed skating experiences and skating lessons throughout the coming winter months. Titletown will host Community Nights with discounted admission available to guests and AriensCo Free Tubing Day on Jan. 14, with free tubing for all. On Jan. 15, guests can enjoy extended skating and tubing hours, along with special programming in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Don't have plans for New Year's Eve yet? Join in on the fun with Titletown's annual outdoor New Year's Eve celebration, TT NYE, as part of Titletown's Winter Jubilee presented by EUA and Shopko Optical. The event will feature extended tubing and skating hours, themed ice sculptures, live entertainment, a football watch party, various photo ops and two New Year's countdowns with fireworks to welcome the dawn of 2024.
