Nate Palmer, LB - #51 - Illinois State

Nate appeared in eight games as a rookie in 2013 with two starts at OLB and registered 18 tackles (12 solo).

Drafted by Green Bay in the sixth round (No. 193 overall) in the 2013 NFL Draft, Nate became the first Illinois State player to be selected since WR Laurent Robinson (Atlanta) in 2007.

Nate made the transition to OLB in his rookie campaign after playing DE as a collegiate player at Illinois State (2011-12) and the University of Illinois (2009-10).

Nate made his first career start in Week 7 vs. Cleveland with and posted six tackles (three solo).

During college, Nate held summer jobs at the Boys and Girls Club in Champaign and later as a busboy and food expediter at the Bloomington (Ill.) Country Club.

During high school, Nate was a basketball teammate of Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose for two seasons.

Nate names his father, Nathan Sr., as the biggest influence on him as he never made excuses and successfully started his own trucking business in Chicago.
