Packers have enjoyed success with compensatory draft picks
Here are some of the more notable compensatory picks made by Green Bay.

Drafted in the sixth round in 1996 (No. 208 overall), Rivera started 111 games at guard over seven seasons (1998-2004), including 99 in a row to end his Packers tenure. He was selected to three Pro Bowls (2002-04) and was inducted into the Packers HOF

Drafted in the third round in 1996 (No. 93 overall), Williams played in the nickel and dime packages as a rookie in helping the Packers win Super Bowl XXXI. He then became a starting CB for the next six seasons. He had four or more INT from 1998-2001.

Drafted in the sixth round in 1998 (No. 187 overall), Hasselbeck was Brett Favre's primary backup at quarterback for two seasons (1999-2000) before being traded to Seattle.

Drafted in the fourth round in 1999 (No. 133 overall), Bidwell was the Packers punter for four seasons (2000-03) and had a team-record 308 consecutive punts without getting one blocked.

Drafted in the seventh round in 2004 (No. 251 overall), Wells began his Packers career on the practice squad but eventually became the starting center for six seasons (2006-11) and made the Pro Bowl in his final year in Green Bay.

Drafted in the fourth round in 2008 (No. 135 overall), Sitton took over as the starting right guard in his second season and has remained there, starting 70 of 72 games (including playoffs) over the past four seasons. He participated in the 2012 Pro Bowl.

Drafted in the fifth round in 2010 (No. 169 overall), Newhouse has started 31 of 35 games (including playoffs) at left tackle over the past two years.

Drafted in the fourth round in 2011 (No. 131 overall), House has battled injuries during his two seasons but did start five games at cornerback last year and is expected to compete for a starting job in 2013.

Drafted in the fourth round in 2012 (No. 132 overall), Daniels recorded two sacks and two fumble recoveries, returning one for a touchdown, during his rookie season on the defensive line.

Drafted one pick after Daniels, at No. 133 overall in the fourth round in 2012, McMillian had one interception and 13 passes defensed as a rookie and is expected to compete for a starting safety spot in 2013.
