Hired Feb. 13, 2024, Myles White begins his first season as a coaching assistant through the Packers' minority coaching fellowship program. White, who signed with the Packers as an undrafted wide receiver in 2013 and went on to play in seven games for Green Bay that season, spent the past two seasons as the wide receivers coach at Miami (of Ohio) with the additional title of passing game coordinator in 2023.
White tutored WR Gage Larvadain, who led the RedHawks in 2023 with 42 catches for 679 yards, a conference-best average of 16.2 yards per catch, and six TDs. Larvadain posted 273 yards receiving, the second most in a game in school history, and three TDs on eight receptions (34.1 avg.) at UMass (Sept. 10), highlighted by a school-record 99-yard TD catch. The RedHawks finished first in the Mid-American Conference with a 7-1 record on their way to earning a berth in the Avocados From Mexico Cure Bowl and finishing with an 11-3 overall mark. In 2022, White worked with WR Mac Hippenhamer, who earned second-team All-MAC recognition after posting a team-high 54 catches for a team-best 769 yards (14.2 avg.) and nine TDs.
Prior to joining Miami, White served as the inside receivers coach at Stephen F. Austin in 2021, where he was part of a staff that helped the Lumberjacks advance to the NCAA playoffs for the first time since 2014. WR Xavier Gipson, who currently plays for the N.Y. Jets, led the team with a career-high 74 receptions for 1,367 yards (18.5 avg.) and 14 TDs on his way to being named the Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year. Gipson led all FCS players in receiving yards in 2021 and ranked No. 3 in receiving TDs.
White served as a quality control coach at Southern Methodist University in 2019-20, where he was part of a staff that helped the Mustangs rank No. 12 in the nation in total offense in 2020 (494.5 ypg) and No. 9 in 2019 (489.8 ypg). SMU ranked No. 7 in the country in scoring over those two seasons (40.4 ppg), including a single-season school-record 544 points in 2019.
White appeared in 19 games at wide receiver in the NFL, playing in seven contests as a rookie for the Packers in 2013 and 12 games with the N.Y. Giants in 2015. He also spent time on the practice squads of the N.Y. Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the 2016 season. White played two seasons in the Canadian Football League with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (2017-18) and the Toronto Argonauts (2018).
White earned second-team All-Western Athletic Conference honors as a senior at Louisiana Tech in 2012 after posting 56 receptions for 718 yards (12.8 avg.) and six TDs. He began his career at Michigan State and played in six games as a redshirt freshman in 2009 before transferring to Northwest Mississippi Community College in 2010. He was a part of the same recruiting class at Michigan State with his identical twin brother, Mitchell, who spent time with the Oakland Raiders in 2013 and the Philadelphia Eagles in 2017 and played four seasons in the CFL (Montreal Alouettes, 2014-15; Ottawa Redblacks, 2016; Toronto Argonauts, 2017). Mitchell currently serves as the cornerbacks coach at Miami of Ohio.
Born March 30, 1990, in Tacoma, Wash., White was a four-year letterman at Stevenson High (Livonia, Mich.), where he was named to the All-Midwest team by PrepStar in 2007 after catching 26 passes for 651 yards (25.0 avg.) and 10 TDs and helping lead his team to the state finals.
