Doug Collins, who joined the Packers in 2002, is entering his second season as vice president of security, facilities and risk, a position to which he was promoted to on Aug. 24, 2023.
Collins originally joined the Packers as security supervisor in 2002 before being promoted to director of security/risk management in 2005. In his current role, Collins oversees the club's security efforts as well as all team facilities, including Lambeau Field, the Don Hutson Center and Titletown. Collins joined the Packers after a nine-year career in law enforcement, which saw him serve as a police officer in Sun Prairie, Wis. (1994-97), and Green Bay (1997-2002).
"We're pleased to promote Doug to his new position," said Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy. "He has been an instrumental member of the Packers for over two decades and has been a trusted resource throughout the building. We are excited to have his perspective and skill set as part of the senior staff moving forward."
During Collins' time with the Green Bay Police Department, he helped start the Green Bay Police Foundation, which raises money for equipment and training needs at the department. Collins earned a degree in resource management/conservation law enforcement from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1994.
A native of Green Bay, Collins and his wife, Amy, have three daughters, Morgan, Maddy and Emma. The family resides in De Pere.
