Biography

Joe McKillip enters his sixth season in Green Bay and fourth as the team's coaching operations coordinator after spending two years (2019-20) as the assistant chief of staff. He works closely with the chief of staff, Darryl Franklin, and Head Coach Matt LaFleur, assisting them with day-to-day operations including the coordination of meeting and practice schedules and the football calendar, organizing team and staff events as well as providing administrative assistance to the coaching and operations staffs.

Prior to joining the Packers, McKillip worked in football operations at North Carolina State for six years (2013-18) under the Wolfpack's head coach, Dave Doeren. He started as assistant director of football operations from 2013-14 before being promoted to director of football operations in 2015. In the director role, McKillip oversaw team logistics and day-to-day operations including fall camp organization, game-weekend arrangements for both home and away games, weekly team schedules, bowl-game preparation and coordination of the spring football schedule and summer high school football camps. He also assisted with recruiting functions and external community relations.

Before coming to North Carolina State, McKillip worked at the University of Wisconsin and then at Northern Illinois University. At Northern Illinois, he served as a football operations graduate assistant in 2011 and then as the assistant director of football operations and on-campus recruiting coordinator in 2012.

Prior to working at Northern Illinois, McKillip worked as a student manager for the Badger football team for four years. He graduated from Wisconsin with a degree in communications in 2011.

A native of Burlington, Wis., McKillip lives in Green Bay with his wife, Alison, and 5-year-old twins – daughter, Josie, and son, Thomas.
